DeWayne Lee Harris was convicted of killing three women and leaving them in The Jungle, a Seattle homeless area near Interstate 5, in the late 1990s. He claimed to have killed more, though there wasn’t evidence to prove that. Harris’ victims were Denise Marie Harris, 42; Antoinette Jones, 34; and Olivia Smith, 27. On Jan. 15, 1999, Harris was sentenced to 94 years in prison. "I have never run into anyone who has shown the kind of lack of reverence for human life," King County Superior Court Judge Marsha Pechman said at Harris’ sentencing.
